Superbly done. Led Zep's "Stairway to Heaven" is a firm favourite in 'Sight and Sound' :-) Thanks very much for posting, Paul.

Paul, I had a lot of thoughts as I first saw this creation. The Violinist with the cats made me smile, the woman made me think of my grandma on her way to heaven, the man made me think of Charlie's father on the same path and the little dog brought out little dog Kiska to mind. (gone for a long time now .. she was a little white dog but that's the exact expression she gave you when she was waiting anxiously for you to come with her) Great transformation Paul, never had an image bring so many things to mind. :)

Thank you Chris - as I was doing this, I was thinking of all the people who have left my life - my grandfather died 54 years ago today ( 11 June) and the first time that I had encountered death in our family - the old lady in grey can ONLY be my grandmother - she looked just like that in every way - she died a few months later, and then the dogs and cats were all of ours, and of course they had to have a violinist serenading them up the stairs - so it looks as if our lives have taken very similar paths in many respects. ;0)

Well that image is so personal for you and some how it became so meaningful for me as well.
We have traveled similar path while not having them cross. Funny how that works isn't it? Take care Paul?

So evocative.

Read yours and Chris's convo.... its a place we come to in our lives. I was 14 when Mum died... 5 when my only 2 grandparents died... 29 when Dad died.

Have lost many of those I care for... I think we have to step lightly... the stairs go both ways...

Hugssssssss
