Pam J club has replied to PolyrusThere seems to be so many variations of colour ! Had to smile about the ginger nuts,, they are one of my little secret addictions !!!
By the way, one of my Mule Ear seeds FINALLY popped!! The rest are just sitting there. It finally occurred to me...hmmm....yep...Mule Ears are one type of seed which must be stratified before germination will begin. I'm surprised I got even one to pop because these seeds were not put into the refrigerator for a couple of weeks like they want. Cross your fingers that it will live! I wonder, you may get lucky with yours if you planted them and you're still getting really cold mornings. Might be enough to do it. If you're trying to remember what these flowers look like, here's a link: www.ipernity.com/search/photo?w=290645&q=mule+ear
They are perennials so I don't think they will flower the first year, but you never know!
Your Seeds Update 2
Still only the 2 Milkweeds and the Threadleaf... But the seeds are in the pots in the Little House and we are due to go down to freezing on Monday night.. so they are protected.. but cool. It was 84 and a howling gusting wind again today.
