It was a beautiful day

It was a beautiful day
Friedenskirche, Hamburg St. Pauli (no Wikipedia - article so far, and I don´t know any facts about this church which was 10m away from my home...).

At www.hamburg.de/altona/kirchen/2829856/friedenskirche.html:
they are talking about it was constructed around 1890 (and in some WikipediaCommons - Photo the photograph had talking about 1893–1895), architect was Johannes Otzen (the street was named "Otzenstrasse" now. OK, learned something more for now...): de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Otzen (some more languages).

It was a beautiful, sunny day - at ipernity and outside of it. So I wish you a nice week, sunny as here, whereever you are or will be in the future. Go outside, take some photos! Relax - and believe in it. Everything is possible, sometimes the things will happen you won´t belive in. And the best: You don´t need to be religious for it.

Each time I go outside or watch outside I will see this church, and how the look will change during the time... take a look in my "Looking out of my windows" - album to discover some more: www.ipernity.com/doc/kiezkicker/album/19196

Hm. The number of this photo was dscf1042. We all know what this "42" was about? ;-)

, Tina (*Lichtmorgen*), Melinda, and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

You are lucky to have such a beautiful building next door, or maybe you feel less fortunate on Sunday mornings... =D

Nicely made shot. Red tiles look nice and warm, and sky is just perfect =)

Oh, I have great isolated double-windows, no sound will rise my ears on sundays if they are closed. And I will know what time it was by watching at the big clock - I don´t need my own ones... And it seemed like on sundays they aren´t this loud (or I have a deep sleep), I only recognize the ringing bells at Saturday at 6pm - I don´t know why they are ringing at this time (as I said, I´m not a religious person), but I love it because "Sportschau" (german Bundesliga - TV- show) is starting at the same time so I won´t miss watching my saturday evening - soccer on TV - one of my many rituals I have. ;-)

What a beautiful picture.

If I was religious I would like to go to a really cool looking church like this one or like the one in France that Isabelle posted (with the hanging Christmas trees.) I just love to look at old churches and there aren't many around my area.

Haven´t seen the photo you are talking about (or can´t remembering it) - can you please provide a link to it, k.e.s?

Very nice church, it looks like a mixture of different styles :)

No, it wasn´t a mixture, it´s a specific Northern Germany style: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanover_school_of_architecture
