Spielbudenplatz (Reeperbahn)

Spielbudenplatz (Reeperbahn)

They begin to deconstruct items on the buildings yesterday. There was a very big announcingwall you can see at commons.wikimedia.org which has start to removed:

I will go there today this morning to take a few daytime - shots, as this building is now fully emptied, no more curtain on windows, (nearly) nothing left in the windows of the shops and restaurants you see in foreground at the lower parts of Essohouses. The only photos from them which I own are all maded during nighttime so I´m in the need of some during daytime - before they are removed in feb.
They have a big symbolic power for "gentrification" because - well- they are so classic for how it was done (do a twittersearch for #Essohäuser)

I´m already on the way... transfering a few photos from the cam to pc to get some space, then going out to the SNOW (yes, NOW we have 2 cm of it....). I had waited this long for it... nagging all the time...

It´s mostly melted even as it was -6°C here... but I´d hundreds of new photos which have to be transfered and watched... and surelly some of this "strange place" will be added. :)
The pretty big videowall which are made about 30 displays (each about 1,6m² I suggest) which they start to removing (see twitter-links above) is close to completely removed, just the iron where it was hanging on are left. This seemed to be the last item which was removed, before the demolishing will start in february.

OK. And now I´m in the need of a hot shower... walking outside around five hours wasn´t fine at all (not because of the temp - because of the wetness of floor, the snowfall, ...)
