HFF ! A rather posh lodge in need of a bit of TLC. It would scrub up well, the architecture is beautiful.
Like the fence too. A bit of rusty chain always goes down well with me.

Yes, it's looking a bit tatty. I'm not sure whether it's being lived in at the moment, I couldn't see anyone around and the windows were filthy. Perhaps they're between tenants!

A lovely building in a superb capture, I wonder why yellow ochre was such a popular colour for many buildings of this type?,

Thanks Carol. I'm afraid the main house is looking a bit tatty at the moment. It also needs some TLC. I expect they're struggling for cash, like other businesses nowadays. They make a lot of their money from hosting big events (custom car shows, countryside shows etc). They also have a huge garden centre and several franchises on site, not all of which have reopened yet.

No it's just one house Anton. At one time the gatekeeper would have lived here and controlled entry to the grounds. I believe it's now privately rented out, but I don't think anyone is living there at the moment. Thanks for commenting :-)

Lack of paint and all.....it is still a very fine, old building. I love the hedge too with its mixture of coloured leaves. A great shot, Keith!
