Spring!

Spring!
This week in SSC:

"Signs of Spring"

What better sign of spring is there than flowers and ducks? :)) I found these flowers at the nursery and for a bonus, I saw my first "Ring Neck" duck on the pond this week. I love his purple head! Sure signs that spring is on its way! (PIPs)

For Sight and Sound:

The Cowsills from 1967 "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" otherwise know as "The Flower Girl."

Thanks, Janet. Yes, the pink and red flowers are ranunculus. One of the most amazing flowers imo.

I love them so much! I tried to grow them the year I had a garden but sadly they didn't sprout. Funny because they are supposed to be easy to grow. Well, they are on my short list for my next garden--which won't be for years until we move because we have ground squirrels and deer and a host of other varmints which rule this wild place...I fought with them to the point of giving up....better to leave the garden and love the animals instead of hating them every day. :)

I had the same trouble with morning glories which are supposed to be super easy to grow. And I know what you mean. It's wild like that here too. I only grow what the critters won't eat or destroy. :))

Perfect for the challenge, Karen. A lovely series of photos. An ace musical choice for 'Sight and Sound'. New music to me. A gem from way back when :-) I don't remember this one. I would have been very approximately 18 years old and perhaps I was preoccupied with other pastimes :-)

Thank you for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

Oh, you mean those other pastimes that you're still preoccupied with? ;-))

I'm glad you finally got to hear the song! Better late than never. It's such a favorite! Here's an even better version just for you. I hope you can see it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZMc0-ZAUeY
