Lemonade

Lemonade
Lemonade Citrus x meyeri
This unusual citrus is a cross between the Meyer lemon and a true lemon.

Many fruits are on it at the moment. The Lemonade is widely grown in backyards throughout Australia. It looks like a lemon, but can be eaten straight from the tree, just like a mandarin or orange. It’s a lot sweeter than a lemon with a refreshing tang.

TSC The Sunday Challenge “pushing the boundaries”. Extreme in camera SOOC.

Extreme ISO and Macro, zero editing. Handheld. Preferred version in first comment :-)

Thanks Wierd, me too, but the main photo meets the challenge criteria better.

I agree with you and Wierd, I like the second one better, too, but you're right, the main photo meets the challenge better :)

The fruit sounds delicious! :))

Thanks for your feedback, Val. The fruit is wonderful. This particular tree is just a young one, 4 feet tall, with this single tiny flower at the top, about 1 inch diameter. Some small, very green fruit as well.

Thanks Wendi. This was a last minute capture when I realised I was on completely the wrong track with the challenge :-)

beautiful looking image, love the yellow against the white, and the fruit sounds great, I love lemon, and to pick one and eat it straight from the tree would be wonderful

Lovely image indeed and meets the challenge. Incredibly difficult not to tweak even slightly with a crop. Well done

Thanks Jan. Yes, very difficult to resist fixing it, even now I want to tweak it :-)

Lovely shot Gillian, but like you I think I prefer the other one as a whole! :)

Do like the second image of the flower but that picture in the notebox is quite dramatic and well done. :)

Curiously, the second shot (in first comment), with only a few comments, has made Explore :-)

It's amazing how clear it is being hand held at that high ISO. Interesting fruit that I would really like to try sometime. Very nice Gillian.
