The funny thing is that by the time we got up here on the 2007 trip, we were running out of time we wanted to spend in the Monterey Aquarium, so we blew past a lot of the sights along this portion of the road. I don't have any pictures of the most photographed bridge, which just means I have to go back some time.

Here's an excuse to spend more time... the best place to see the sea otters is in their natural habitat, which is at Point Lobos State Reserve, just south of Carmel on route 1.
