Ambassador Travel (NX contractor) 218 (BV19 XOZ) in Mildenhall - 1 Dec 2021 (P1100126)

Wednesday 1 December 2021 (1110) – Ambassador Travel 218 (BV19 XOZ) seen in King Street just after leaving Mildenhall bus station when working the 0915 Great Yarmouth to Heathrow Airport National Express service 727.

It is a Caetano Levante 2 bodied Scania K360EB4 new in June 2019 to National Express owned West Midlands Travel as their 267. Ambassador Travel is an old established contractor to National Express but had been absent from services through Mildenhall for some years. A new 727 timetable from 29 November 2021 brought about the change.

Note the sad message in the window of Bussens and Parkin’s store which announces their pending closedown. The business had traded in Mildenhall since 1912.
