maybe there should be a place to buy cold beer ;-))))))))

I think they would have more luck selling whisky!! In fact it is not even easy to find places to eat - I think lunch on that day came from a burger van quite a way down the road. Everything stops on a Sunday here as well, - shops, restaurants, garages, supermarkets. It retains a lot of the charm of another era. I love it.

A paradisiacal beach from the most optimal point of view. I wouldn't hesitate to swim on that beach just for me. Beautiful emerald colour. Stay safe and healthy my friend.

Thank you very much Eva. It seems so strange to me that the beaches all seem so empty, - but maybe people were doing as we were and trying to see as much of this beautiful island as they could. We were heading further up the coast so only stopped for photos. I would like to go back and spend more time here though

Thank you very much Lothar. I am sure those jackets will last for years!! I have a couple of Harris Tweed handbags and they remind me of our time on the island. Where we stayed there was a wonderful book about the islanders and the heritage of Harris Tweed.

Indeed, it doesn't look like a beach how you imagine them in Scotland, it's just wonderful. But I wonder if you can swim there?
