Sometimes, someone whispers ino my ear while I sleep.
I act as I continue to sleep. Gently I look for a face with the sweat of my hands. And in the dark I find what looks as an absent face. Afterward a body that sticks to my skin, with no definite shape. I never open my eyes, because if I did it, I could discover the secret of all this, and all its hideous splendor.

Por vezes, alguém me murmura ao ouvido enquanto durmo.
Finjo que continuo a dormir. Suavemente procuro com o suor das mãos um rosto. E no escuro encontro o que se parece com um rosto ausente. Depois um corpo que se me cola à pele, e que não tem forma definida. Nunca abro os olho, porque se o fizesse, descobria o segredo disto tudo, e todo o seu medonho esplendor.
