All my childhood was barefoot and I still love it, but comfortable quality shoes are a must to hike or in winter for me now.

Isabel - it's the same with me. Good shoes is something very important for the foot. And indispensable when hiking. Although, I once saw it high up in the mountains that two young women were walking barefoot over hill and dale... ;-)) Just looking at it made my feet hurt and I felt every stone :-))))
