Pohlia wahlenbergii var. glacialis
Found on Hellisheiði eystri, Iceland's highest mountain (road) pass. The intense neon green can only be seen at higher elevations alongside streams. It's Pohlia wahlenbergii var. glacialis, an arctic moss species.
Auf Hellisheiði eystri, Islands höchstem Pass, über den eine Strasse führt. Das intensive Neongrün des Mooses findet man nur in höheren Lagen entlang von Wasserläufen. Es handelt sich um Pohlia wahlenbergii var. glacialis, ein unbenetzbates arktisches Quellflurmoos (Wassertropfen bleiben wie Perlen oben auf dem Moos stehen).
