Vielen Dank, Reinhard! Schon mit der Standseilbahn hier hochzufahren macht Spass und dann erst die Aussicht! Man kann auch zu Fuß hoch und von der Bergstation gibt es reichlich Wanderwege.

A wonderful view Of Bergen from Fløyen. When I was there I stayed in a small hotel on the peninsula. The funicular ride up to the top is exciting. Did you stitch this panorama, Gudrun? I have never tried that, but it's great to see the city all spread out like this.

Yes, this is a stitch of at least 10 photos (can't remember the exact number). Stitching is very easy with MS ICE which does all the work for you: research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/ice
The only thing you should do, take the photos with plenty of overlap and go manual. You need to shoot all photos with the same settings to avoid exposure differences.

Was für eine grandiose Aussicht Gudrun, die Luft scheint durch den Schauer rein gewaschen zu sein, klare Aufnahme bis in den letzten Zipfel der Bucht!

Herzlichen Dank, Uwe! Da wollte ich schon immer mal hoch, zuvor war immer entweder schlechtes Wetter oder keine Zeit mehr. Hier hatte es beim Hochfahren einen kräftigen Schneeschauer, halbe Stunde Sonne und dort hinten rechts kommt der nächste Schnee, den haben wir im Restaurant ausgesessen;-)

Wie schön und ohne Regen oder Schneefall. Selten so klar.

Thanks a lot, Paul! It's a stitch from 11 photos, I added the EXIFs in the decription field ( in MS ICE they always "disappear"). The original TIFF file is huge and takes ages to load;-)

Yes, they do get to some size, but are worth it for all the detail you can get into a single image. Always fancied getting one printed out on a large format just to see how they come out ... don't suppose you've done that with any of your own? :)

I never tried getting one printed having no empty walls;-) I expect it would be worth a try!
