Temptation of Eve

Temptation of Eve
I was looking at some paintings not too long ago that were somewhat in this style. At the same time I was viewing a number of stained glass works in old cathedrals.

Since then this image, this temptation, has been growing in my head.

I would have started this description by saying, 'after so and so', hence giving credit to the other painter's paintings I was looking at that were part of my my inspiration, -but alas, after searching I can't find that painter and his work. I'm not sure if it was here on Ipernity or elsewhere.

Oh well... watercolor on 9 by 12 inch (22.9 by 30.5 cm) Canson cold pressed 140 lb (300 g)paper.

It reminds me a little of Edvard Munch...and he would have gone with the subject...Chagall too for the sweeping forms and colours.

We, or at least most of us, tend to forget Munch's portfolio contains many many works besides The Scream.

Thank you William, I, of course, would not put myself in the same arena as Munch but I truly appreciate your observation.
