Happy Mother's Day
Just wanted to wish all of you who are mothers, a very happy Mother's Day. I'm not sure which countries celebrate this important day today, but I think every day should be Mother's Day, so celebrate anyway! We have the most important job in the world so, Hooray for Mothers (present and those who are no longer with us)!
It's always such a delight to see these early spring flowers blooming after seven long winter months of snow and ice on the ground.. These Hepatica flowers (macro photo) were growing at the Reader Rock Garden on 7 May 2014, when I called in to see if anything had started to grow yet. Very few flowers to be seen, other than a few scattered clusters of Hepatica and a few tiny Squill. Spring is so late this year.

It's plus 6°C this morning, getting up to 11°C this afternoon. The sun is shining and the sky is blue : ) So far, the forecast is for sun and mid-teen temperatures all next week, so maybe spring really has sprung!
