Colour on this winter wonderland day
Hopefully, the winter wonderland that I woke up to find this morning will last long enough for me to eventually get ready, clear the snow off my car, and drive somewhere really close by. More snow fell last night, so I'm really hesitant to drive anywhere and park, in case my vehicle gets stuck, but it's just too beautiful out there to ignore. Thought I'd look in my archives for something warm and bright - this cheery Poppy was growing at the Reader Rock Garden on 7 August 2013. Stay warm, everyone! See you next year : )

A beautiful bright, colourful Poppy to start my new year Anne ... impressive lighting, details and clarity. We will be going to my Aunt's place for dinner today to make up for our Christmas get-together we did not have due to the power outage and the downed trees ... it will be one of the coldest evenings thus far, but that is Canada for you ... LOL ... we had a 1/2 power failure yesterday ... but it was short lived (phew) ... I feel for those that are still without power elsewhere and those that are experiencing some of the coldest weather Canada's ever had ... I cannot believe over -50C temps and wind chills being experienced by many!!

Well, we are in the first day of the new year ... and may you have great days ahead throughout 2014!!
