To brighten my photostream : )

To brighten my photostream : )
During our approximately seven months of winter here, many of the photos I take tend to be white and blue. Some days, I just long for bright colour, including to add a splash of colour to my photostream. This Poppy macro was taken at the Reader Rock Garden on 26 July 2013. Can't complain about the weather the last few days, though - lots of sunshine after our snowfalls. Haven't been able to get out and enjoy it, though, as I didn't want to drive my car until it had been serviced and had a new battery installed. I picked it up late yesterday afternoon, gleaming and more reliable to drive. I've also been spending hours researching computers and monitors ready for the dreaded computer replacement. Most of my decisions have been made, but I think I will have to wait till January to do this. A lot depends on whether it's possible to have Windows 7 installed instead of Windows 8. I might order the computer before then and then wait to take it to have all the data transferred. Too many full-day Christmas Bird Counts in the three weeks around Christmas and I am always totally exhausted by the time the very last one is over : )

William (Bill) Armstrong, LeapFrog have particularly liked this photo
