Dry dam

Dry dam
I'm not able to do much photography lately, so this is from a dip into the archives - and my first digital camera. It shows a dam on our former rural property during what became known as the "Millenium Drought" which ran from about 1998 to 2009. The very minimal fence around the dam was needed to stop cattle entering and potentially becoming bogged. It worked well, helped by 10,000V and the cattle stayed out. HFF and best wishes for the weekend, everyone.

Explored.

Thank you, Gudrun. Fortunately we did have some other water sources for our cattle. It would have been much like this earlier this year when the fires were running, but there since has been quite reasonable rain. Best wishes for these crazy times.

Indeed yes, Diana, I'd think it would have been very much like this until the February rains. Hugs and best wishes to yourself and John.

Thank you, Marije. Yes, climate change will disrupt weather patterns, so we have more extremes unfortunately. All the very best wishes for these unsettling times.
