87/365: “Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are." ~ Marianne Williamson
I mentioned yesterday that I'd discovered a bunch of new flowers that I'd take pictures of today, and the first one that I found was this gorgeous, extremely tiny flower which is only about 1/8" in diameter! It's called a Slender Popcornflower and even though I saw these last spring, I missed taking pictures because I was distracted by other flowers, and then I thought I'd taken pictures of them already. By the time I realized my error, they had faded away, so I was thrilled to see their happy faces smiling up at me this morning! And how wonderful that it rained during the night, just look at this droplet-festooned blossom! :D (By the way, this is the 162nd Flower of Spring & Summer, and you can read more about it on the next picture!)
Marianne Williamson (born on July 8, 1952) is a spiritual teacher, author and lecturer. She has published ten books, including four New York Times #1 bestsellers. She serves on the Board of Directors of the RESULTS organization, a leading force in ending poverty in the United States and around the world; and has taught the popular “Sister Giant” seminars, supporting women in running for political office and aligning their politics with their spiritual values.
