The Once and Future Lake, part II

Refilled Washoe Lake with a lone cottonwood (Populus fremontii) in winter garb. The inset shows the same tree, leafed out, in summer of 2015 at the height of the drought. The dark surface in the background in that pic is _not_ water; it's darker dried mud. The lake was completely dry.

I didn't recover the exact photo position, but at least it's recognizable.
