The clouds look great in the sunset light.
I 've seen clouds like that on the Altiplano but I didn't know what they were called. I seems they only form in very arid areas.

Thanks! The lower atmospheric layers have to have a low enough relative humidity so that the rain can evaporate completely, so the phenomenon is most common in deserts. The weather forecasts around here mention it all the time!
