The Tips Of My Fingers

"The Tip(s) Of My Fingers" hit the top ten on the country chart in 1960 for "Whispering" Bill Anderson (the third) with his self-penned tune from the album "Bill Anderson Sings Country Heart Songs". This was his first top ten hit.

In 1963 one of the stars of "Hee Haw", Roy Clark's first single to reach the country top ten was this cover. It also reached the top forty on the pop chart. At his peak Roy was one of the best guitarist anywhere.

Eddy Arnold recorded "The Tip of My Fingers" on the album "Somebody Like You". This time the single hit top ten country and Easy Listening while getting into the top forty on the pop chart.

Grammy winner Steve Wariner revived the song in 1991 for the album "I Am Ready" and this time "The Tips of My Fingers" reached number three on the country chart.
