Hillbilly Heaven
Eddie Dean (Glosup) recorded "Hillbilly Heaven" (Dean - Southern) in 1955. Eddie was one of those singing cowboys from the silver screen who was also a composer: "One Has My Name (the Other Has My Heart)"
John Ritter's (Three's Company) father and grandfather to Jason (Parenthood) and Tyler (The McCarthys), Tex (Woodward) Ritter hit with "(I Dreamed Of A) Hillbilly Heaven" in 1961. The release hit top five on the Country chart and top top twenty pop. Like Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, Tex Ritter was a true movie, television and recording star.
