Ivory Tower
Tenor, trombone player and composer, Jack Fulton was a member of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra from 1925 to 1933. Jack Fulton composed and recorded "Ivory Tower" (Fulton - Steele) in 1955. Jack and Lois Steele also wrote "Wanted" which hit number one on Billboard for Perry Como.
Although it became a top ten hit for Gale Storm the next year it wasn't as big a success as it was for Cathy Carr who peaked at number two on Billboard. Once a big band singer with Sammy Kaye, Cathy Carr (Cordovano) also hit with "Ivory Tower" in 1956
