Really fitting picture!
Damn (sorry!), it really sucks!! I really don't know if I should take the effort to start for the third time a photo site...
Biggest problem is losing all the friends. They will scatter to the four winds now I guess...

Hallo Poly ...
I am going to keep trying. But I lament losing the friends, but it seems a continuing pain-to-the-heart (even in 2014 when Google put Pano into that GE/Maps turmoil, many longtime users just quit using Pano and some deleted their accounts) ...
Do not apologize for "Damn"; I am going to try to translate Damn into as many languages as I can, and then publish it. Actually the list of profanities I'm feeling is long and distinguished, and certainly not publishable.
My father used to call photos "immortal celluloid" and perhaps cyber-photos are not immortal ... but I'm going to try to hang onto as many friends as I can ... I will be looking for a place to do that.

Apt title and shot!
I have joined 23hq.
It's nice and friendly and there is already an ipernity group there. But it's small and I think there could be issues of viability. I may only be there for a short time but I don't know. We'll see!!!!
Best wishes, Andy

As you all guys I do not want to loose contacts. After Panoramio almost everybody came here, a good site indeed, and I also though that I could place my luggage definitely. Now, as Poly writes, it's hard to decide where to go. Many of us will finally move to Flickr, a place that I am not sure I would like it. Now, I am on 23HQ just to not loose people but it's a really basic and halting place, without charme. You can leave messages only by captcha, and in the Ipernity group I still can't leave anything because though the captcha it's impossible to go further! Bah! So, it's maybe a lower BaseCamp to stay and wait...

Indeed! I'm trying out 23hq and 500px. I'm already on Google + and hate it - use it mainly for uploading photos to my blogs.

A well trodden path and a nice capture, 23hq looks to be the nearest option to Ip but we live in hope.

To me 23hq looks a bit old-fashioned. And also not a lot opportunities available as on IP and Flickr. And to send first comments on photos is very arduous...

It looks like a nice road but you can't see where it leads to- that about sums up our situation....Should no white knight materialize for Ipernity, I'll probably be at Flickr. After the way they treated Panoramio, Google definitely is not a option.

Splendid perspective and nice photo, but I believe to catch another sense, another meaning in this image ..... the future (of IP) is uncertain, I know, but a little hope still exists !
The real trouble is that many photographers chose to leave IP before the end instead of remaining here and publishing new photo ....
All the best

Hello Fabio ... I lament the loss of another photo-sharing community, if it does happen. I am staying 'til the end (but hopefully IP will not end!) ... Although I have stopped uploading new photos for a while, I stay here to continue to admire and enjoy the photos posted by others.

I am staying till the end too... I also did with Pano... I am again in Flickr now, and the only thing I find wrong with it is, that it doesn´t have a translator. I found a lot of old Pano and IP friends there, you can have the same conversations, You don´t have to look at everybody's photos if you don´t want to. The photos look good there, I love the feedbacks, photos are easy to upload..
AND I love your photo: I don´t see footsteps, just a wonderful way to the future.

I think the consensus is, "Hey diddle diddle straight up the middle." (I, too, am here for the duration and, because I have photography OCD, I keep uploading and uploading...)

Well we seems to be walking on the spot at the moment Wally but hopefully the direction will then be to a long Ipernity future

Beautiful shot this photo! Yes, it gives a lot space as image and as mysterious ways of thinking about those steps of?
Have a nice further weekend!
