Another storm approaching! Will they ever end?

Another storm approaching! Will they ever end?
Algete street scene no. 18.
Calle de Paloma - one of the three main streets in Algete, looking down to the main square and parish church., caught in the last of today's sunlight.
Maybe worth a look on large.

All day heavy rain today (good!) and I chose to take the day and go to San Lorenzo de El Escorial!
I had thought the rain might die down and allow a walk in the country. But no. So I did what I should have done years ago and took a tour of the palace / monastery and I'm glad I did. I know something of Spanish history and so for me it was an enthralling tour. Shame no photos were allowed!

A good thing to do on a rainy day indeed! Here it doesn't rain much, just a few rainshowers, the ones we usually have in April and not in June when the dry season is on. The hot days we had in April would be the normal ones in June... climate changes are a reality, weather weird unusual events become more frequent and usual behaviour patterns messed up.

I could send you some of our rain if you need it!! It is actually sunny today but with a fierce wind.

Rain all day today and heavy stuff too. Reports of localised flooding. How much of it will do any good we don't know. I think once the trees are in full leaf, they absorb most of it. I don't begrudge them this at all but it would be nice to see a little of it replenish the water table!

Solid rain now for 48 hours but it's far too late to help the poor farmers. :o(
Thanks once again Nora and for your visit!
