The first picking. Do they look like apricots to you?
Apricot tree laden with ripe fruit.
Better on large to see the fruit more clearly. It has a wonderful warm colour, unlike the uniformly yellow, hairy to the tongue and sharp ones we see here and in the UK in the shops (although to be fair those ones do make the most perfect of all jams, imho!).

That, and my learning from my mum through a form of osmosis, made me a very keen gardener until in 2009, I suddenly had no garden and haven't had one since :o(

Wow that apricot tree is fantastic - I don't think I've seen red fruits before, but I am aware of some fruit do change colour in different climates. It's a beautiful view from that place, and I should think you've missed being there for so long
