Carn Brea. Down the ages.

Carn Brea. Down the ages.
Neolithic property - foreground, medieval hunting lodge behind. Modern industrial and residential complex on the plain below.
The sea at Porthtowan can be clearly seen too.

A superb overview Andy. My daughter and family have just had a great holiday at Crantock. What a gorgeous beach they have there!

Brilliant photo Andy. It's great seeing such an old building still being retained. Lovely view too down to the coast.

I think I know every granite rock up there,Carol; if not quite biblically, then certainly with some degree of intimacy. I suppose I've been coming up here for the best part of 50 years (sometimes 10 years between visits, sometimes weekly).

It must be lovely to have so much historical evidence within reach! Here in NZ that is not so.

On the other hand we don't have your amazing scenery and we don't have Ata Rangi and other (Otago) Pinot Noirs.
(Well I do in fact - in my father's cellar here in Cornwall, but you know what I mean!)
