WHAT ALE THEY GOT ON TAP AT THE STAR ?

They change their selection of real ales on a regular basis, Pam and usually have at least 5 good ones on the go at any one time. Last week I enjoyed Timothy Taylor's 'Landlord' and this week i've enjoyed Abbott Ale, which at 5% abv is stronger than I would usually have but it's delicious and I only ever have the time to down one pint and I don't drive there so I indulged myself!

When I first highlighted the Star Inn on a prev photo I was only sixty % certain it was actually the pub and not a nearby farm! But I have guessed right!

Quite a moody image with this very subdued shadow lighting. It certainly conveys a cold feel about the scene. Nice lighting in the distant sky.

Thank you, Herb. My only escape from family duties (I won't describe them) is when the third of four carers comes at about 5, and I get out for a breath of fresh air, to stretch the legs and perchance sneak in a pint!

Wonderful countryside to go a wandering - even with the snow there. Has any more snow fallen since then? We've not had any yet. I suppose I should be grateful, but I do like to see the snow.
