I think every high school here did Pirates of Penzance way back when. I have no idea what Penzance is like and never saw the play, so...I will remain clueless!

Hi Andy,

Nice interpretation of typical miserable British weather. I remember taking a boat trip from here a couple of years ago to observe sealife..

Best Wishes
Peter

Well, I am biased as my Gran lived here for many years and I always enjoyed visiting. Some great pubs and interesting shops and quaint back streets, but also bone-grinding poverty and even now, it has one of the highest unemployment rates in the UK.
It has survived, alongside the rest of Cornwall, only with staggering amounts of European Union handouts. It has almost 0% immigration.
And yet.
And yet.
It voted overwhelmingly for Brexit.
Go figure.

I also took a boat to watch a girl swimming and playing with mermaids (sorry, I meant dolphins, of which there are many in Mount's Bay). The girl had been the chief bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding! She was a popular tourist attraction and it was a good summer job for her.
As you know, Peter, we don't get climate, we get weather, and it makes for more interesting photos! Better than the constant blue skies of Spain (which I adored when I first came over here but they soon began to pall!).

Have a good week!
Thank you and best wishes,
Andy
