Back in Pano, you had mentioned some similarities between Cornish granite and Maine coast granite ... I stumbled on the reason for that in a geology book ... I'll send you an explanation when I get more comfortable with Ipernity (it will take a looong time before I get over being peeved [or worse] with the demise of Panoramio) ...

It took me a little while to master the basics and even now, just over one month later, I find I get stuck where I don't expect it! But it's OK. Yes, it is different, but there are as many similarities as differences and there is a sense of community which is an important point for me.
One useful tip I learnt is that under your account settings you can choose the frequency of notifications. I choose daily and that means I get comments in one place rather than having to look up each photo.
