Your new one doesn't ship to Germany;-) Here the ones with a hotplate are forbidden now for energy saving reasons, ours all come with a thermos.
I used to have a Braun caffee machine which I had for ages. When I bought another Braun it was made in China and broke after a few years:-( So now I have a more expensive one totally made in Germany and hope it will last longer.

Oh, interesting - that's a good idea! Maybe that's why most of the ones I saw had a thermos. I'll bet the hotplate is being phased out. It had been so long since I shopped for a coffeemaker that it took a long time to find what I wanted. I can't believe how expensive they are, now, except for the one I bought! There were no Brauns anywhere!

I'm not entirely sure what this is (was) as it bears no relationship to anything coffee-related that I've ever seen, or owned. But if it gave good coffee, I can well believe that you were distraught at its demise. Am pleased you are happy with its replacement. Good coffee is important to me as well!

Really, what have you used? There are so many choices, now. This Krups coffee pot and filter-holder are missing, so this is just a skeleton. Anyway, I'm back in business! Thank you, Andy.

Over 14 years ago I afforded => this one! You know, it's the same as Roger Federer uses ;-)
The coffee beans are ground and the coffee is excellent! And the smell of a freshly grind coffee makes the day!
Coffee to me is a piece of luxury :-)
