Nicely done, Diane. The 'ghosts' in the photo remind me of a forest of equisetum.

When you were taking that photo in November 2017 did you happen to notice which stocks had risen and which had fallen?
Visually it doesn't really appeal to me but it is a kind and clever idea for healing for those betrayed by the country they thought they had.
Diane Putnam club has replied to GrahamH club
I just corrected the date. Things like that happen at 2 a.m.! No, I didn't notice which stocks changed, I don't have any of my own. I assume you're talking about the election. I know about stocks going up a few days or so afterward. Of course they would, the Wall Street tycoons are all getting their taxes and gov't regulations reduced! Lucky them, poor everyone else.

GrahamH might also have asked you to read him the winning lottery numbers from a newspaper bought on the 17th November, 2017! Much the same thing!

What a chilling history, with so many echoes of America's current crazy attitudes to its own citizens of different origins. “Of all the wartime incarceration sites, Tule Lake tells the most extreme story of the government’s abuse of power against people who dared to speak out against the injustice of their incarceration,” said Barbara Takei, whose mother was incarcerated at Camp Tulelake during World War II.
Beautifully, ironically memorialised by this photograph.

Diane Putnam club has replied to Steve Bucknell club
Thank you, Steve. The camp, just a big, barren plain now, is only 20 miles from me and I've been there several times. I need to go again to get more photos of the land. There is a second camp northwest of the main one. That was for German and Italian POWs. Here is my album: www.ipernity.com/doc/1227338/album/862280

Yes, this camp was the worst of them.

... well conceived and produced; yes, haunting ...

... like an bad dream of an inconceivable situation, but that cannot forgotten (must not! , so history does not repeat itself) ...

... a photograph that elicits emotion is a great photograph ...
