Ist das dein Frühling??? Ohhh!

Diane Putnam club has replied to Gisela Plewe club
YES! There has been more rain in the "High Desert" than I have ever seen. Even so, spring here is not the soft, fluffy spring everyone else has. Danke, Gisela!

Sigh...... There was a dead branch down from a Black Jack Oak. I was able to drag it to the burn heap and once there started to break bits off to get the branch on the pile. Black Jack... even when dead is very very hard... it reminds me if Ebony ! Well .. I lost my balance.. and crashed down over the branch. I can be thankful I didnt get stabbed. I have bruises up my thighs and chest.. and I smacked/grazed my left hand /wrist/fingers (right across the arthritic outer side of it) and my head. My nose had just healed from a previous fall/graze.... needless to say that it is very unhealed again now.. and bruised forehead and chin. Happy Wednesday. Tomorrow we are going to a little retirement "do" for a couple of hours...... I look as if I fell on a tree.....

Jeez, Pam! You sound like a painful mess! Yes, you could have impaled yourself and your husband wouldn't be happy about that. Take it from someone older than you and who has to review this information once in awhile: know your limits!
Pam J club has replied to Diane Putnam club
I have spent a lifetime not giving in to limits. They told me when I was 15 that by the time I was 21 I would be in a wheelchair. So... that was the point I started to ride-work race horses..... Just... some days are harder than others !!!

Diane Putnam club has replied to Pam J club
Well, I can understand that, Pam. But, I've had three falls in a 10 years where I had mild concussions, so...I'm already dumb enough, now! However, it doesn't keep me from thrashing around in the boondocks, I just try very hard to watch where the h__ I'm going!

Not for me to tell others what to do but have you never thought of acquiring windscreen wipers, Diane?
(I bet they're called something else on your side of the pond).
Diane Putnam club has replied to Andy Rodker club
Yes, windshield. Six of one and half-dozen of the other. I discovered many years ago that it is entirely possible to drive 20 miles or more with broken ones. Not safe or fun, but possible. Anyway, I did turn these back on a few seconds after this. ;-b

oh, a wonderful photo. such great atmosphere with a story to tell (i felt that, then saw all the different comments that led me to believe everyone is getting their own story out of this photo. how cool is that?).

I really like this one Diane..................the distortion caused by the rain makes the image look like a painting.........albeit pretty abstract.

Diane Putnam club has replied to Keith Burton club
Thanks a bunch! My real paintings were similar to this, or even more abstract.

... followed some IP links; ended up here ... like Andy, I guess I am pragmatic: after "what an innovative shot", my next thought was: "hmm, turn on the windshield wipers" ... (this view maybe reminiscent of an alcoholic haze; lawd, don't ever drink and drive) ...

Y'all have a great day, Wally

Diane Putnam club has replied to L. L. Wall club
Wally, you're worse than I am in the pragmatism department! Anyway, I wasn't drunk, yet I didn't want to turn on the wipers, either. ;-b
