Somehow this fence seems out-of-place in this wild country setting.

I can understand where you are coming from Scott. We are not too far from the main road passing through this area and this was a special adventure area of about 2sq miles laid out with good gravel paths, toilets and picnic shelters along with these footways over streams for wheelchairs or simple walking aids. A lot of this in Scotland now, aiming to get disabled people out in the same places as other folk get to.

In practice there were not much need for such bridges here as the paths kept a little further from the main lakes. Glad you liked it.

An interesting picture, which I like very much!
Your comment about 'Wheelchair friendly' reminds me of when I took a walk up Snowdon from Rhyd Ddu in the midle of winter.. I observed tyre tracks in the mud.. Only one pair about a metre apart... Then all was clear when a guy in a motorised wheel chair came down from the quarry at Bwlch Cwm Llan. All credit and respect to him!

Thanks for this Peter. Yes the days when wheelchair bound people were forced to keep inside are well gone - thank goodness. Scotland has quite a few of the wheelchair friendly paths. Glad you liked it.
