The Seven Sisters from the old coastguards cottages.

One of the most beautiful scenes in the British Isles. Believe me, it was even more beautiful walking around here with these views and only the sound of sea birds for company.

Inspired after seeing a recent photo in a fellow Ipernity collection by John Goodwin: www.ipernity.com/doc/2248118/47020146 I thought I would bring out an old Panoramio-like photo of mine when I was walking around these parts. You see Erhard - just as I was saying to Lothar above! A wonderful place to walk and photograph. I imagine more people from abroad would have been here than British perhaps. I remember seeing German and French buses full of tourist in the Birling Gap car-park! Good that it has brought back memories.

Hi Daniela - as you know, I am a prolific 'Happy Snapper' and so have photos from many places now. The vertical twin of this was in Panoramio too now added here as a PiP. A great spot indeed, glad you like it.

Another comment here for you John. Yes, I have place the vertical PiP so folk could see the other one too but I might take that out if it looks like folk are not looking (apart from you of course) as it is in my other two sites. B&W might well look good too, it would certainly give it that aged look. In time I shall post a few of my other shots of this area too.

Thanks for this visit Poly. As already mentioned above, one of the most iconic landscapes in the British Isles. The houses are quite old and basic, built for practicality, with their main windows and doors facing away from the sea weather. This was a very popular photo in dear old Panoramio too. Thanks for the star (off which I still have not discovered the code for on my PC).
