Porth Y Cychod house

Porth Y Cychod house
Not far from the village of Tudweiliog on the Llŷn Peninsula sits the small cove of Porth Y Cychod with its fishing boats and drying nets, On the side of the hill overlooking this cove sits this very interesting small house-like building. I liked the green curving path to this.
Enjoy too my artistic take of the same house and wider rock as a PiP.

Now, that's isolated, Herb. I presume it's dug into the bank against prevailing wind... great shot of a nice location... Your PiP is really artistic great work... John.

Hi John, as you surely would have realised, this is not a real dwelling but either a storage place or shelter for fishermen probably! Unless of course, that it was a real home, many years back. I enjoyed the PiP too and now wonder if I should make this available for comments too.

A wonderful capture Herb, I wonder if it was for a lookout to watch for shoals of fish coming into the bay and alert the fishing boats

Maybe Peter. As said above, it might have been a real home for someone at one time but I guess it was only now used very rarely. A big pad-lock was on the door!

My goodness, it's a beautiful little building and picture!! It reminds me of pictures I have seen from Ireland (I have never been there). The PiP is gorgeous! I would put that on my wall!! Very well done Herb.

Hi Keith -your comment here puts into words what I thought might be the case when posting -that the Pip was a better picture but I did not believe that my Ipernity viewers may have seen it that way. Glad you liked them both though.
