I know what you mean in the city I could not do this but in the small country town I could. I am lucky I come from the generation we look about us rather than just step out on the tracks. End of the line is Perth as far west as this line goes. I wanted the felling of endlessness from the shot.

On a first view, I thought it was a narrow canal. The viewpoint from the rail is fantastic: great depth to the vanishing point! HFF, Steve!

Yep its narrow but far from a canal but on reflection its our life blood so much like the Canals of Europe. The benefit of A FF camera @ F11 , HFF from the Far west.
