I suspect it and its mate may be using the nest box at the left.

Oh my goodness...what a funny looking bird with such an evil looking eye! :D I would love to get a picture of a bird like this, so cool! I like the reflections in the water too.

The crazy eye of this bird has me reflecting on the insane colors of bird eyes which are normal... in fact, our parrot, Pumpkin, has RED eyes! Can you even believe that?! When she's fired-up, she "pins" her eye pupils, which means they get very small (constrict) and her eyes appear almost all red! Those are times you do not put your finger close to her or you'll pull back a stump! LOLOL...here's a picture of her eye, though she's not pinning so there's just a lovely ring of red to see... www.ipernity.com/doc/290645/17706891/in/album/417987 (Here is a parrot pinning its eyes: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_pinning#/media/File:Yellownaped2.jpg ) (the information is also really interesting: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_pinning )

TY for your comments about my latest presentation--I looked up Craters of the Moon and now I have another place to put on my Bucket List! Marvelous! I checked to see if you'd posted any pictures of your visit but alas, there were none. Maybe you can dig into your archives and share a little presentation of your visit! It would be fun for you to travel back to your visit and such fun for us to see what you captured! :)

Have a lovely day!

I'll see if I can find photos of Craters of the Moon. It was a long time ago - maybe 1987 or 1988.

Digging into the archives led to an unpleasant surprise. Many of my negatives and photos had gotten wet. Maybe I can find something salvageable.
