Den Maiapfel trifft man in der Natur meist nur sehr selten an. Die apfelähnliche Frucht soll essbar sein. Ich hatte die Art im Garten, habe sie aber wegen der Sommerhitze der letzten Jahre verloren.
Schön, dass Du uns diese seltene Pflanze vorgestellt hast.

Thank you for this information, Cämmerer zu Nau. I think I have never eaten the fruit, but I remember my father telling me the fruit is edible. Usually wild animals eat it before I see that it is ripe. There is another cluster of this plant growing beside my house.
