Ah, they've either washed that, or put more paint on her ! Lovely day, very clear image.
When I saw her in the summer of 2016 they were running the engine (and when it first started, smoking out the area - clear across to the viaduct !)

I think THELMA has had a new coat of paint. She looked in pristine condition. I can imagine that the start-up might have caused some problems though! ;-)

I wonder who THELMA is, Dany. Do you think that she is the boat owner's wife or lover? ;-)

Something of the kind,Amelia, or maybe his daughter. Or someone of his past, if he is alone.

Thank you Paul. The trouble with taking photos of listing ships can often be a listing horizon. ;-)

It's really lovely scenery here, Steve, part if the Snowdonia National Park. The low tide precluded any reflection photos, but provided added interest. ;-)

Lovely bit of red reflected on the on the sand. The boat itself looks really good in the light. It does look like she's had a few knocks and a bit of a hard life.

She's a bit like me, Keith. ;-)

Have you read the poem: When I am old?

I already have a purple anorak, and could find a red hat to go with it. ;-)

Great poem............we've always said we intend to spend our last years embarrassing the children..!!

I've found a red hat to go with my purple jacket. However, I've been embarrassing my children for years so I don't think they'll notice anything different. ;-)

That's really good, Steve! A great tribute to William Carlos Williams. You have got the lines and the metre perfectly. I love the simplicity of his poetry. No fancy stuff, just plain statements turned in to something delightful. He has a lot of insight into the apparently ordinary.
