Pippin isn't usually hanging around me during the day - he's off out and about in the gardens, looking for mice or the occasional moggie who tries to get it's way into my kitchen to eat Pippin's food. Not a terribly interesting theme, but I've done the best I can. These are various bulbs I've got around the house. Some of my lamps need screw in bulbs, some small candle bulbs - another one requires a reflection bulb and my other ones are fitted with energy saving bulbs. This is a small bulb from my Christmas tree lights. I do hope the lights work when I take them out to decorate my tree, it's a pain having to test every bulb to see which one has blown!!!!!!!!!!!!........…

For those of you who know me, I think you will agree with me - I have controlled myself with today's theme, as I have thousands of photos of views, which I have taken over the years. These are some of my favourite views, although if I start to think about it, I could put loads more on!!!!...... This is the famous Shipwreck Bay on Zakinthos {aka Zante} in Greece, and yes........ the sea is really that colour and the beach is beautiful white sand. I just loved it here..............…

I know the UK is flooded in many places, but my daughter was coming for a visit today and I had no idea of the state of the roads. Had I known I'd have told her to stay home. A journey which normally takes about an hour and a half took her over two and a half hours. These photos following will probably explain why.................. You can see how bad it is. Well I wasn't too keen to take a photo of my own veins for you, that's because they're virtually hidden under skin!!!! I have been fortunate in not having varicose veins, but I did have a blocked artery a couple of years back, and I had to have an operation to "dyno-rod" it!!! All's fine now by the way. Poor Pippin was so totally unaware of what was going to happen today when he woke up!!! There he was snoozing quietly on my bed, having a lovely dream. He came downstairs when he heard me put his food bowl down. He stretched and flexed his claws, then ambled outside to whatever he gets up to out there............ Then at 1pm I locked the cat flap, so that he could come in but not go out again. That was the idea anyway, but another cat had managed to slip in to, no doubt, eat Pippin's food…

Well as you may already know - my garden is just full of trees - in fact I'm surrounded by trees which is wonderful. Some of them blossom which is beautiful - creating colour in the air............. I took these pictures last year when I put up my Christmas tree. I just loved the warm glow of the lights. As you can see Roxy, bless him, used to really like being by the tree.................. The glow went into the glass baubles............................. I just love this time of year when the decorations go up....................
