The quilt is finished!!!! I almost can't believe it myself. My fingers will be very pleased too - they are quite sore at the moment, well the middle ones are where the needle has been pressed into them while I did the handsewing. You can see how much of this is hand sewn - apart from the original blocks, which have been sewn together by a machine, everything else has been done by hand!!!! My son's first book had not only been published but has actually arrived at my home!!! I am so so proud of his achievements and to hold it in my hand is incredible. I have read some of the stories before, but must revisit them and then write my feedback for him. It's so important to leave feedback so he will not only be happy that his book has been read, but to see what kind of story really grips people, for his next book. This is his book...............

Well it was a gloriously sunny day today, although the temperature didn't rise over 9C, but the sky was clear all day and that yellow thing in the sky shone all day. I did another wash and this time the whole wash dried beautifully. That's twice already in a week - wonderful. Couldn't believe it but it was sunny again today!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to do a wash, and so I thought I'd see if I could get it dry by putting it on the line. When I took it out of the machine, somehow I'd left a tissue in a pocket!!!!!!!!!! You can guess what the clothes looked like - covered in confetti!!!!!!!!!! My neighbour, Yvonne, came up today to sort out what design and what colours she wants for the quilt for her daughter that I'm making for her. She'd decided before she came that baby blue kitch would be the order of the day and so I said that it would be a good idea to go onto e-bay and find the material she'd like. Paddy had been drinking at his local Dublin pub all day and most of the night celebrating St Patrick's Day. Mick, the bartender says, " You'll not be drinking anymore tonight Paddy. Took a couple of photos of myself this evening and of course Pippin had to get in on the act!! LOL. Anyway as you can see the mole that had been bothering me for years and I had taken off a couple of weeks ago, is gone and you can't see the scar at all - it's great.

I've just tried to access my Multiply account which was fine a couple of days ago and wanted to get more photos off there, but there is a big page saying that the Multiply social site has now officially closed down, but we are welcome to access their Indonesian or Phillipine sites. Oh well, it's gone on for 3 months longer than we expected but we did have fun over there didn't we? Luckily most of my friends came over here and I've met other lovely people here too.
