I felt bereft today - I didn't have any sewing to do!!!!!!!!!!!

So I decided to try and do what I've been advised to do - and that was to rest my sore fingers. I lasted about 2 hours and then...................

I hoovered the lounge and the kitchen, then sorted out some boxes and then...................

Still felt fidgety so I got out my quilt - well the one I started in January and have yet to complete and I realised that I didn't have any backing material for it. So I delved into my sheet & duvet baskets and found a lovely plain pale lemon duvet cover and it should just fit the backing size perfectly. I have plenty of wadding. Anyway after all that work, and I did rest my sore fingers, I haven't done any more than just sort that out and tomorrow I can get going on attaching the three layers together and get going!!!!!!!

As you can see - I've got similar colours to Yvonne's but the pattern is different. It will be considerably smaller than that once I start the hand quilting................

I lose about a foot all over with the sewing, but I think I have done a big enough frontage for it to still fit over my bed.

While it was still sunny outside, I took the camera out when I noticed a strange snail stuck ontop of a bluebell leaf. Why on earth he decided to park himself on there is anyone's business, but he was up there like a lollipop...............

As I'd had to get down onto the ground to take the photo, I looked around for something else to take a photo of from ground level so to speak so as not to waste the opportunity now I was spread eagled on the ground...................

A celandine - I know I should get rid of them because they are weeds, but to be honest, they're so far the only colour I have on parts of the driveway!!!!!!!!!!

Here's another weed, don't know what it is, but it's got a pretty flower................

See the bluebells are really bushy, just no flowers as yet.....................

A little primrose just appeared in one of my pots, bless it.....................

Tulip is appearing - I think this is the dark maroon one, very pretty, there again it may be the red and white one - won't know til it's opened up................

This is the yellow double headed tulip, I can hardly wait until they flower...............

So even though it's too damn cold to actually sit outside and do some gardening, I still live in hope that it'll warm up so I can start to enjoy the outside again.
