Here I am - back again. Have been without any internet since Friday/Saturday. Apparently some workmen were fiddling about up the road at a box junction and did something which affected many of us. Of course we didn't mention the situation to each other and so didn't realise that it wasn't our equipment which was at fault!!!!!!!!!!

So did you miss me? Mandi took me out a couple of times to take advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend and the nice warm-ish weather. I took photos so you won't lose out!!

We went back to the Tors at Westward Ho! It was my mother's favourite place and so it became ours too. She used to walk her red setter, Rick, there many times. This time though, Mandi just walked her old mum LOL

That old house is still standing which is amazing after all the storms...........

and you can see the state of the wall ..............

It's almost gone with that huge great crack going down..........

You can see that the land has been eroded so much, that it surely won't last another winter like the last one. It was a tad dicey standing there near the edge too - you don't know how strong the ground is beneath your feet............

This is the view towards the sea wall at Westward Ho! There seems to be a few people walking about, but it was quite chilly and the tide was out............

These are the rocks and we were waiting for the sunset, which never arrived - well it did, but so did loads of unruly clouds!!!!!!!

These are the Kipling Tors which is a long narrow piece of hillside originally the old cliff line, which rises up behind the western part of Westward Ho!

It is covered in bracken, gorse and unimproved grasslands. It's owned by the National Trust and provides a haven for wildlife with spectacular views for walkers and visitors alike.

Both Charles Kingsley and Rudyard Kipling have connections to this area.

Well we'd gone for the sunset, which had vanished - so we came home. Mandi had come up on Thursday and left yesterday. Since Friday she hadn't been able to speak to her husband on Skype which was very hard for them. They miss each other so much and being apart for any length of time isn't good. She's been here back in the UK since 26th February and it's now 7th May - that's a long time apart. Luckily he's working full time now and so it's only in the evenings that he has time to miss her, but when he phones her, it's lovely to hear him talk so lovingly to her. He is such a good man and she is so happy to have met him and married him. I do hope it won't be long before they're together for good.

Meanwhile she comes up here for a few days every week. I love having her here but I do feel so tired when she's gone, as I think I've mentioned once or twice to you all. LOL. So now she's gone and I'm trying not to have a quick nap!!!

We went out again on another day - but that's for another blog. Nice to be back again, but please bear with me if I don't have time to comment on all you've done since I was last one. I will try though.
