Hiya folks, I realised that it had been 12 days or so since I last wrote to you all - sorry!!! As I don't do much really and certainly don't go anywhere, there's very little to talk about (well not some things I wouldn't like to confess to anyway!!!!) We have had a few days with sun, but not really warm enough to sit outside for long. What on earth is going on with this weather - it looks lovely and sunny, but it keeps bringing cold winds with it. So I still sit down and make more and more pendants. I've started doing earrings now, they are much smaller and therefore I can make more of them quickly.!!!

I have used fallen geranium petals in my pendants - well "waste not - want not" it's one way of putting them to good use, rather than putting them in the dustbin. The bright orange ones are the fallen flowers off the cactus which only flowers once a year - so it's my way of keeping them.

Well "cutie pie", the little gull chick, is still on my porch roof - and luckily we had quite heavy rain the other night, and therefore a lot of its poo was washed off the roof!!! I don't know how it kept dry - but it didn't look wet in the morning. The parents are extremely good parents - they are constantly watching him from the upper roof, and also come down regularly several times a day to feed him and keep him company.

They still "jabber" at me everytime they see me, but don't try and swoop on me - not like when the Maine Coon visits here - now I know why Pippin's food is still in the bowls, because it's not been eaten by the visiting Maine Coon!!!!

The garden outside my lounge is for ever changing, now all the lilac flowers have gone, as have the apple blossoms and the laburnum, so there is a lot of greenery everywhere - apart from a few places. I noticed some bright pink in amongst the branches of the apple tree and realised they're wild roses!!!! Wow they're gorgeous and I didn't have to do anything to get them.

I also noticed that the Himalayan Honeysuckle (see above) - which is also self-sown, has started to get a lot of flowers. It's getting bigger and bigger - it's only a couple of years old too!!!!!

I looked down to the ground under the lounge window and noticed that soon I'll be able to eat my own blackberries!!!! yummm

How nice that they've decided to grow directly under my window meaning I can reach the berries when they are ready!!!

Well now you can see what a busy life I lead - I rarely see anyone daily, apart from the grocery driver, Emily and sometimes my neighbours, so I have to occupy myself somehow - hence the myriad of pendants etc. I have been watching the Tour de France though and it's rivetting and it's only the 4th day!!!! Talk about crashes and tears of joy at the finish line!!! If you've been watching it - you'll know what I'm on about.

I hope you all are well, and if anyone knows how Andy Rodker is doing, please let me know. I've been very worried since I heard he had contracted COVID19. His family comes from an area very near me. Well take care folks, I can't wait for us to be all vaccinated, so we can start to live normally again. Stay safe.....
