Well today dawned with a beautifully clear blue sky. It was still very cold though which defies belief. How come it's in the middle of May and it's still very cold. I'm tired of wearing my thermal vest, I didn't expect this to happen by this time. I started wearing them from the end of September but certainly didn't expect to be still needing them 8 months later!!!!!

I so loved the look of the blossom from the window, I thought I'd take pictures from the couch through the open window, so you can see exactly what I see......

This is the view towards the right hand side of the window. The deep purple of the escolsia (Canterbury Bells) really stands out against the lovely green of the Mombretia leaves....

This is the pale purple lilac which is at the extreme right of my top garden. There are lots of this coloured lilac, but they are mostly lining the driveway...

This gorgeous array of yellow rain (laburnum) lines the way down the garden, there are about 4 trees, but looking from the window it looks as if it edges the right corner of the vista.....

Now we come across the first of the white lilac here - again, there are loads of trees with white lilac, but this is the first one looking through the middle window.....

Now the white lilac entwines the apple blossom and it looks so wonderful looking through the glass......

This apple blossom looks like it'll only last a few more days, before the wind takes the petals away. Til that happens, I'll keep on clicking away but won't bore you with the pics - don't panic!!!!

It's so wonderful having Mandi here with me. She hopes to go back to Turkey (with me too) in a couple of weeks. She sees the doctor again on Friday, to see what the blood tests show and also to get some HRT that works!!! I'm going to find Turkey extremely hot, in contrast to what it is here. We'll drive around to other beaches with wind!! It'll be so good to see Dogan and other friends there. I haven't been there since October 2016.

Okay folks, that's about all for the moment. Unfortunately our car doesn't work, so I've been housebound, and that's not fair on Mandi really. At least we're getting the rest we both need.
