Today it's still cold, but boy is it windy!!! I've been watching my trees vying to be the one who can bend the most! So far the apple tree is the winner in my eyes, which is just as well that it's not the 40ft sycamore which frightens me. There is quite a bit of colour still in my garden with the spring flowers.

The bluebells are all over the place, I don't think I've ever seen so many in my garden. They are quite tall and there are quite a few white ones too. I do love them, they make me happy because they make me realise that warmer weather is coming.

Of course the apple blossom is still here, well I'm not so sure after all this wind, so thank heavens I'd already taken lots of pictures....

Of coursee the lilacs are still out and I'm so thankful to those who planted the trees all those many years ago, because they planted the different colours alternatively - pale lilac, dark lilac and white - gorgeous....

The scent from the white lilacs is just amazing and in the early evening, I just love opening the back door and smelling the air - and just to make things better, next door's rowan tree has got its honeysuckle growing all over it....

Oh the scent is amazing.........

The Californian poppies are a lovely splash of colour too..

and there are loads of buds just waiting to pop...

Finally, for the moment, the wild aqualegia (Canterbury Bells) are popping up all over the place, that's what I love about my garden, all sorts of things come up and it's a guessing game as to what will be next!!

I haven't planted any new flowers this year, because I just haven't felt well enough to be outside for any length of time to pot them out. Still Ann and Peter have, so I'll go next door to see their flowers!!!!

Apparently we can expect warmer weather next week, then if that does happen, I can see that I'll pop over to the beach now and then.
