I decided I had to get some final things from a supermarket and also go and pick up my latest prescription. I went to Morrisons and just the motion of pushing the trolley got my back complaining which is really getting me annoyed. When I come back from Turkey, I'm going to pop up and see the doc and see if they can do something for me.
I went up to Asda to collect my prescription and I grabbed a quick chicken and bacon sandwich while I was there. As it was such a great day, I decided to do a quick trip to Westward Ho to eat the sandwich and just sit outside for a while.
The tide was on its way out and I was really surprised at how many people there were at the beach....
The lifeguards were still on duty but I suppose they finish at the end of the month. There were people and their kids who were exploring the rock pools.......
As you can see the weather was lovely and the sea was nice and calm......
Meanwhile there were also some people with their dogs enjoying the sunshine and some dogs even went in to the pool for a quick dip........
When I got back home I was met with two cats who really couldn't be bothered to get up and greet me............
and I noticed that Boo is decidedly chocolate now. She's coming up for around 14 years old, so maybe that's why she's turning from black to chocolate.
On another note, last night I had a little visitor........ I was quite happily sitting down having a chat on the laptop, when I was aware of a movement above me.......
It was a little cricket and he was making his way down my mantlepiece. He then hopped onto the laptop and I only had time to take a couple of pictures because he moved so quickly. ..........
So I'm sorry I wasn't able to get better pictures. He looks all dusty here, but there again he had been in places that she shouldn't have been LOL.
A nice snack outside and a little people watching is a great way to spend some time

Your visitor is a Field Grasshopper Brown form. Crickets have extremely long feelers. I can't clearly see if your Grasshopper is male or female though.
As you say he's been where grasshoppers should not go.

Yes it was a good idea to take a break for a little fresh air.

Lovely photos, looks like it was a lovely day. We had a good amount of sunshine though the temperature definitely didn't climb up to 17C, much cooler here.
I used to love exploring rock pools when I was younger. My son wasn't so keen as a kid after he fell into one that was much deeper than anticipated. He was so shocked lol, and soaked right through.
